Community Rowing Inc, Boston
Community Rowing Inc. (CRI), based on the Charles River, was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organisation "dedicated to the belief that the sport of rowing provides unique abilities to promote personal and community growth through teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness." CRI are committed to making these opportunities available to all, and now has one of the largest rowing programs in the United States with over 5,000 people rowing annually. Recently, CRI in partnership with ExPD, offers FES rowing at several locations in the Greater Boston metropolitan area. CRI also offers free adapted (fixed seat) and FES rowing programmes to serving US military personnel or veterans.
