Following the success of the British Indoor Rowing Championships, the Dreissigacker brothers, owners of Concept 2, invited the British FES rowing team to showcase FES rowing by participating in the 2006 World Indoor Rowing Championships (known as the Crash-B's) in Boston. This milestone in the growing FES Rowing Group’s successful competitive track record, was not only the highlight of the US event, but also received the best reception of the day. The FES rowers were shown a huge respect for demonstrating the grit and determination to race alongside non-injured athletes with such catastrophic physical impairment. The climax of the FES rowing team’s demonstration was Sarah rowing a personal best to a standing ovation of over 3,000 athletes and spectators!
